Pro Triathlete ARLAND MACASIEB and ANI DE LEON won the Philippine Triathlon Championship last February 5 at the Lakeshore, Mexico, Pampanga. The Champions, who are both sponsored by VELLUM Cycles have each captured its third National Titles making them the most accomplished Male and Female Triathlete in the Philippines.
Macasieb, who is based in New Jersey, USA has won the National Titles on 2001, 2005, and 2006. He is currently preparing for the other big races this year which include the Asian Duathlon Championships, Subic International Triathlon, Asian Triathlon Championships, New York Triathlon, Asian Games and the Ironman USA, at Lake Placid, New York.

Ani De Leon, who is known to be the most successful Female Triathlete in the Philippines has won her National Titles on 2002, 2003, and 2006. She currently holds the National Record for both the Olympic and Iron Distance. De Leon will have a very busy calendar for 2006. She conducts a clinic and seminar every month on top of her race schedule which include the Subic International Triathlon, Asian Duathlon Championships, Ironman USA, Lake Placid, Asian Triathlon Championships, White Rock Triathlon, and the Asian Games.
